Form of membership:
REGULAR MEMBER the Platform can become any organisation which, at the same time, is:
1. a nongovernmental non-profit organisation with legal personality and seat in the Slovak Republic;
2.
an organisation involved in the field of foreign development and/or
humanitarian aid an co-operation, or an organisation with activities
the substantial part of which are foreign development and/or
humanitarian aid and co-operation, and the organisation has certain
experience in this field.
OBSERVER can
become any nongovernmental non-profit organisation interested in
participating in meeting the targets of the Platform and complying with
other conditions set in these Articles or defined by a valid decision
of the Members’ Meeting of the Platform.
The
organisation applying for REGULAR Platform membership shall submit to
the Board of the Platform a Platform membership application in which it
declares that all regular membership requirements pursuant to Article
3.3 have been met. Further, it shall also submit a copy of its Articles
and Annual Report if such report is prepared.
Rights and Obligations of Regular Members and Observers
Regular member of the Platform is entitled to:
- take part in the activities of the Platform and have the benefits which the Platform offers its members;
- o vote in the Members’ Meeting,
- obtain
general information on the activities of the association as one whole,
and if requested also specific pieces of information on individual
fields of activities the association is involved in.
Regular member is liable to:
- follow the Articles of the Platform and any internal regulations derived from them
- follow the conclusions derived from the decision of the Members’ Meeting of the Platform;
- pay annual membership fees in the amount as approved by the Members’ Meeting
Observer is entitled to:
- take part in the activities of the Platform,
- o
be present in the Members’ Meetings of the Platform however, without
the rights to vote, suggest candidates and be elected into an office.
Observer is liable to:
- follow the Articles of the Platform and any internal regulations derived from them;
- follow the conclusions derived from the decision of the Members’ Meeting of the Platform,
- pay annual membership fees in the amount as approved by the Members’ Meeting
