Page 1 of 3 About the projectA 3 year project (February 2008 - January 2011) seeks to strengthen the role of Central European countries within the context of European development aid and international politics. The second goal is to engage the public with issues about the developing world and stimulate debate on development cooperation. This new project is spearheaded by the Czech NGO People in Need along with four other organizations from new EU member states and the European Journalism Centre. Reasons for the project implementation:
Mission of project:The main objective of the three-year project, "To act you have to know" is to strengthen the role of central European countries (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary) in the European development policy and opening public debate on the developing world and development cooperation. The mission of this project is to involve the general public, politicians and journalists in a discussion of the need for development aid and cooperation. Increasing the competence and motivation of politicians and university students for the future of the invaluable contribution in improving the quality and quantity of development assistance. The international dimension is an invaluable contribution in terms of creating a common platform for the exchange of experiences as well as efficient and successful models of development experience between member countries of the project.Target Groups Project:
