About the project

The main objective of this project is to create a proposal for the Strategy for Global Development Education in 2010- 2015.
Duration of the Project: May 2010- October 2010.

Objectives of Strategy of Global Development Education (GDE) preparation:

One of the main objectives of the strategy will be the incorporation of global development education topics into the educational system of primary schools, secondary schools and universities. It is necessary to prepare young people to understand the principles of development assistance and at the same time prepare the future experts in the field of development assistance (especially development education at universities):

• Objective for primary and secondary schools: implementation of development education into state educational program as a cross-sectional topic.
• Objective of strategy for development education at universities: define conditions for accreditation of a subject and study specialization called Development assistance.
• Objective of strategy for informal education of different target groups within the frame of general public and experts: define forms of informal lifelong education for target groups: general public, youth, scholars- especially decision makers (politicians) and journalists. Informal development education will allow to gain support of general public and decision makers in the field of development cooperation.
